001435 - City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate of Competence in the Safe Use of Mowers

This is a non-independent Assessed qualification.

Type of Learner: This would appeal to you if you use Pedestrian Controlled, Ride-on or Tractor Mounted mowers as part of your work. You may work as a groundsman, greenkeeper or in amenity horticulture.

Qualification Overview: It covers pre-use checks, maintenance, identification of controls and instruments, and operating the machine taking in to account the type of cutting mechanism used

Level 2 Certificate of Competence in the Safe Use of Mowers (Pedestrian Controlled)

• 213 Prepare a pedestrian controlled mower for operation

• 214 Operate a pedestrian controlled mower

Level 2 Certificate of Competence in the Safe Use of Mowers (Ride-on).

• 215 Prepare a ride-on mower for operation

• 216 Operate a ride-on mower

Different Modules for cutting mechanism

• rotary,

• cylinder,

• flail

• reciprocating

• knife with interchangeable units).

This Qualification will replace 0014-01, 0014-02, 0014-03, 0014-04, 0014-05 and 0014-06 which will all close for registrations 31/07/2020.
