This is a non-independent Assessed qualification.

Qualification Overview: This covers the use of handheld hedge cutters, covering pre-use checks and maintenance, identification of controls and instruments and operating the machine to cut hedges to the capacity of the machine.

Outcomes: -

209.1. Know the requirements of risk assessment, legislation and safety when preparing a hand-held hedge cutter

209.2. Carry out pre-start checks and maintain a hand-held hedge cutter

210.1 Operate a hand-held hedge cutter

210.1.1 Starting a hedge cutter safely and in accordance with manufacturer’s guidance

210.1.2 Using a hedge cutter

210.1.3 Clearing site of cuttings and disposal

210.1.4 Post-use tasks

This qualification will replace 0014-23 and 0014-28 which will close for registrations 31/07/2020.
