Suggested facilities and equipment for PA2 (BOOM) AND PA3 (AIR BLAST):

  • Clean Sprayer in full working operable order ideally with a current NSTS Test in place

  • Prime mover matched to the sprayer.

  • Instruction books for prime mover and sprayer.

  • Personal Protective Equipment to comply with pesticide label/COSHH risk assessment

  • Tape measure (2m)

  • Tape measure (50m) / Measuring wheel to measure 100m run

  • Suitable tools.

  • Air line, foot or bicycle pump.

  • Spare nozzle, filters etc.

  • Clean water supply .

  • Accurate and suitable measuring jug

  • Measuring cylinder

  • Nozzle testing equipment (optional).

  • Field markers.(cones/flags)

  • Site for practical work.

  • Pocket calculator.

  • Nozzle selection literature.

  • Tyre pressure gauge.

  • Mixing buckets.

Suggested facilities and equipment required PA6 (HAND HELD) AND PA9 (FOGGING,MISITING, SMOKES)

  • Clean Sprayer in full working operable order

  • Appropriate working areas for filling, testing, calibrating and site work.

  • Spare nozzles/filters for applicator.

  • Manufacturer’s operators instruction book.

  • Clean water supply/hosepipe.

  • Field Markers (cones/flags)

  • Measuring cylinder.

  • Pocket calculator.

  • Accurate and suitable measuring jug.

  • Tape measure at least 10m for measuring walking area and swath width.

  • Measuring wheel.

  • Personal Protective Equipment to comply with pesticide label/COSHH risk assessment

  • Mixing buckets.
