CITY & GUILDS LEVEL 2 AWARD IN THE SAFE APPLICATION OF PESTICIDES USING SELF PROPELLED, MOUNTED, TRAILED HORIZONTAL BOOM SPRAYERS (QCF) (PA2) (0216-50)

• Unit 290 Operating mounted, trailed and self-propelled hydraulic nozzle or rotary atomiser horizontal boom sprayers (PA2A) 

• Unit 291 Operating vehicle mounted kerb sprayers fitted with hydraulic nozzles/rotary atomisers (PA2AR) 

• Unit 292 Operating mounted or trailed band sprayers (PA2B) 

• Unit 293 Operating mounted, trailed and self-propelled twin fluid nozzle horizontal boom sprayers (PA2C) 

• Unit 294 Operating mounted, trailed and self-propelled downward air assisted horizontal boom sprayers (PA2E) 

• Unit 295 Operating mounted or trailed wick/brush type applicators (PA2F) 

 Providing training in the use of the ground crop sprayer, this course looks at how to prepare your equipment, the maintenance of it and its safe use.

 Training Duration: - Two Days

 Objectives:

Candidates will be able to:-

1. Know the legislative and safety regulations relating to application equipment 

2. Be able to assess the environmental factors relating to the mixing and application site 

3. Be able to read and interpret product information 

4. Be able to prepare and calibrate the applicator 

5. Be able to operate the application equipment 

6. Know how to carry out post-operational procedures
